The Jerusalem Archaeological Studies Unit will carry out and promote research and studies on the archaeology of Jerusalem, and is working on a series of publications focusing on major archaeological sites discovered by pioneers in the field of archaeology in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Unit has a planned series of seminars and workshops on the archaeology of Jerusalem taking place through 2011/2012. It will also offer courses at BA and graduate level, and is in the process of creating a library specialized in Jerusalem. By doing all this, it hopes to raise awareness about the archaeology and history of Jerusalem among Jerusalem and society in general.
